Firecracker ban: SC reserves order for Monday

New Delhi, Oct 6 (UNI) The Supreme Court today reserved its order for Monday on a review petition seeking the lifting of a ban on firecrackers.
A bench, headed by Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri and also comprising Justices Ashok Bhushan and Abhay Manohar Sapre, heard the detailed arguments and submissions from various petitioners and respondents.
"We will try to pass an order on Monday, " the three-judge bench said.
Petitioner Arjun Gopal had approached the apex court, which had earlier lifted the stay on ban of firecrackers.
Keeping in view the level of increasing pollution in the environment, Mr Gopal sought the modification of the earlier order of the Supreme Court.
