Fire reduces 5000 sacks of paddy to ashes,  damages mobile tower in Gujarat

Bhuj/Surat, Aug 18 (UNI) A mobile phone tower was partially damaged, while around 5000 sacks of paddy was reduced to ashes in two incidents of fire in Gujarat, on Sunday.



Police said that a fire broke out in a co-operative godown at Barbodhan village of Olpad taluka in Surat. By the time the fire was controlled, in around two hours, about 5000 sacks of paddy kept there were burnt to ashes.

In another incident of fire, a mobile tower of Vodafone was damaged at Moti Virani village in Nakhatrana taluka of Kutch district.



However, no loss of life was reported in the incidents.
