Fire in Kolkata Metro train, passengers evacuated safely

Kolkata, Dec 27(UNI) A fire incident was today reported in a Metro train between Rabindra Sadan and Maidan metro stations here, delaying the metro railway service by several hours.
The incident happened at around 5 pm in the evening. According to reports, it took Metro about 20 minutes to extinguish the flames on and rescue the passengers.
Dense smoke filled the coaches of the train in which over 1500 passengers were travelling. The affected train was travelling from Kavi Subhash to Dumdum.
