Fire destroys VIP tents of Diu Fest

Ahmedabad, Jan 1 (UNI) Fire broke out in the VIP enclave of the ongoing Diu Festival around 1100 hrs today, completely destroying 16 of the total 60 luxurious tents.
While the tents with air-conditioners were completed gutted, there was no casualty as all the guests were out exploring the Union Territory island of Diu. The luxurious tents were occupied mostly by foreign tourists.
The Diu Festival was inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee on December 1 last.
