Fire breaks out in hardware shop in Kolhapur, worth Rs 10 lakh items gutted

Kolhapur, Dec 8 (UNI) A fire swept through a hardware shop on Sunday evening in Sarvde village of Radhanagari tehsil in Kolhapur district, reducing worth rupees 10 lakh items to ashes.
Radhanagari police said the fire broke out in a Varadarajan Traders shop when the shop was closed.
Some people's saw smoke coming out from the shop and informed the shop owner.
A total of two fire fighters of Bidree Cooperative sugar factory, Bidree, rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
In the fire, CCTV cameras, computer sets, and other materials, worth Rs 10 lakh, were reduced to ashes, the police said.
According to the police, short circuit was the reason for the fire.
