New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) Nine people, including foreigners, were injured on Saturday after a minor fire broke out at the Park hotel at Connaught Place here, the Fire department said.
The injured were rushed to Ganga Ram Hospital.
Seven fire tenders were rushed to douse the fire , which occurred at around 0900 hours in the basement of the hotel at Connaught Place, fire officials said.
' We received the call at 1200 hours. Subsequently, seven fire tenders were pressed into the service to douse the fire," the Fire department said.
The injured were admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram hospital.
"Today morning, at about 1100 hours, nine patients were brought to casualty. Off these, seven patients were discharged after giving the first aid." Dr (Brig) S Katoch, Additional Director Medical, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital said.
"Two male patients from Norway have been admitted for breathing difficulty due to suspected inhalation injury," he added.
Short-circuit was the cause of the fire.
