Finance Commission to visit UP from Oct 19

Lucknow, Oct 15 (UNI) The 15th Finance Commission will arrive here on October 19 on a four day visit to Uttar Pradesh.
The Finance Commission under Article 280 of the Constitution decides how the revenue from the consolidated fund of India are to be distributed among Centre and the states. In addition, finance commission also decides the principles on which the grants in aid will be given to states.
All the heads of the major heads of the state’s economy like the physical and social infrastructure have been asked to place their demands before the commission though power point presentation. The ministers of the department concerned will also be present during the presentation. The Finance Commission headed by the former Rajya Sabha MP NK Singh will also meet the chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
