Finals of Yunnan-ASEAN Badminton Competition kick off in SW China

Kunming, Aug 24 (Xinhua) Finals of the 2019 Yunnan-ASEAN Badminton Competition kicked off in Baoshan City, southwest China's Yunnan Province on Saturday, attracting more than 230 contestants from 11 countries and regions.
The competition started in May this year, with five events including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles, in six different age groups, according to the organizing committee.
A total of 235 contestants coming from China, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, and India will compete in the two-day finals.
The Yunnan-ASEAN Badminton Competition was created in 2017.
