Film, TV institute to come up in Amaravati

Vijayawada, Oct 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation (APFDC) has decided to set up a film and TV institute in Amaravati soon.
Official sources here on Friday said the Committee, led by Chairman Ambica Krishna and Managing Director S Venkateswar, decided to launch the programmes and start classes in Acharya Nagarjuna University at the initial stage.
Committee members, including Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, C Kalyan, exhibitor G Viswanath, Y Ramachandra Rao of film chamber, Nagarjuna University Vice-chancellor Rajendra Prasad, Joint secretary of Finance Ravindranath Tagore and APFDC General Manager Seshasai were present.
The panel also decided to develop a premier film and TV institute in the state capital after studying the functioning of Film institutes in Pune and Mumbai. The Nagarjuna University vice-chancellor agreed to run classes in the university.
