FIFA U17 WC: FC Goa wishes Team India prior to their 1st match

Panaji, Oct 5 (UNI) Prior to the first match at the FIFA U 17 World Cup, members of FC Goa today wished Team India. FC Goa co-owner Virat Kohli said, 'I would like to wish Team India all the very best for the first game and the rest of the tournament. Go get it boys and make us proud!.' FC Goa Midfielder Mandar Rao Dessai said,'The entire country is supporting them. Just give your best and enjoy the game.' FC Goa Goalkeeper Laxmikant Kattimani said, 'I just want to say, give your best, play well and score well. All the best!' FC Goa Defender Chinglensana Singh said, 'I wish the team all the very best. I am from Manipur myself and there are eight players from Manipur representing India at the U-17 WC that’s very great and I wish all the players all the very best. Give you best and enjoy the game. We are all supporting the team. Try not to be under any sort of pressure, enjoy playing the game. It is a great feeling representing the country at any level. Representing India at the World Cup is a fantastic opportunity. None of us have had that opportunity. I wish them lots of luck.' Another FC Goa Defender Bruno Pinheiro (Portuguese), 'I wish the Indian team all the best. This is an amazing opportunity for India as a country that is developing football. It is a tremendous opportunity to grow-up and gain experience from the best teams in Europe and the World. I wish them all the best.' FC Goa Midfielder Edu Bedia said, 'Be happy, enjoy playing football because it is an opportunity that doesn't come very often. I wish Team India all the best. More than anything else, having played in the U-19 and U-20 national team of Spain, it’s important that these guys have fun. At 17 years of age it’s important that you learn on the pitch rather than focus on the results but it’s important to have fun when you pay.' 'I wish them all the best. It’s a great opportunity for them to come and play here, I hope they have a great tournament and we’ll be supporting them from afar,' FC Goa striker Ferran Corominas ( ESP) said. The prestigious event will kick-off tomorrow at Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) stadium in New Delhi where Colombia will clash against Ghana in the first match followed by India taking on the US later in the evening.
