New Delhi, Oct 6 (UNI) The hosts India playing as a debutant in the FIFA U-17 competition lost to US 0-3 in the group A opening match at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium here tonight. The crowd cheered the home side throughout the match, but it was US who dominated throughout the match making it tough for the debutants. For the US, it was captain Josh Sargent who scored in 30th minute. During the half time the US were still leading while India were still goalless. After the half time the US continued their dominance and chipped in 2nd goal through Chris Durkin 50th minute third goal came through Andrew Carleton in the 84th minute. The Americans wrapped up a convincing victory on 84 minutes through Andrew Carleton moments after India struck the crossbar with their best chance of the match.
