New Delhi, Nov 9 (UNI) An exhibition of Islamic Calligraphy from Rampur Raza Library, including verses from the Holy Quran and poetry in Persian and Arabic, has started the Festival of India in Brunei Darussalam.
Inaugurated by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Government of Brunei Darussalam, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the exhibition consists of 36 photographs of calligraphy, selected from over 3000 pieces of Rampur Raza Library.
According to a statement issued here on Friday, the event, which began yesterday, was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Government of Brunei Darussalam and the High Commission of India in Brunei Darussalam. The exhibit will continue till November 25, it added.
