Monaco, Feb 28 (UNI) Roger Federer, world no 1, tennis player on Wednesday was awarded the fifth and sixth Laureus World Sports Award in the presence of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene. Roger Federer who is known as the icon of the tennis, has won the most six times in the history of Laureus awards.
"This is a very special moment for me. People know how much i value my Laureus Awards, so winning another award is a wonderful experience, but winning two together is really a different honor. To me is completely unexpected. I am happy and thank Laurias Academy for this support", he said after receiving the award.
Australian Open champion Federer said, "It was an unforgettable year for me. It was very difficult to return after 2016, and these memorabilia make my effort of returning memorable. When I won my first Laureus award in 2005, if you had said that I would win six Larias Awards then I do not trust you. This is a wonderful journey. "
