New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) After the agitating farmers from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh were granted permission to stage peaceful protest at Nirankari Graounds in Delhi's Burari, the barriers and restrictions on their movement were lifted across Haryana, as they entered the national capital via Tikri border.
The move by the Delhi Police holding talks and granting permission to farmers for holding peaceful protests at the Nirankari grounds helped the movement of traffic along the highways, leading to clearing ofmassive traffic jams, which the city witnessed since Thursday evening.
The decision was taken after talks between the police officials and farmer leaders, who had assembled at the Singhu Border between Haryana and Delhi, where large number of farmers had come from Punjab and Haryana under the 'Chalo Dilli' call given by the farmer organisations for November 26 and 27, to voice their demands to take back the three new agriculture laws, which they called anti-farmer, especially highlighting their demand for the MSP.
