Farmers in Pondy to take out tractor rally on Jan26

Puducherry, Jan 23 (UNI) Federation of Farmers Associations will take out a tractor rally in Puducherry and Karaikal regions of the union territory on January 26 to express their solidarity with the agitating farmers in Delhi.
Talking to media persons, federation office bearers- Selvaganapathy, Ramamurthy and Padmanabhan-said that the farmers are on agitation in Delhi for the past 60 days demanding the immediate repeal of the farm laws and 143 farmers lost their lives. Agitations are there elsewhere in the country in support of the farmers. The farmers will take out a tractor rally in Delhi on January 26 and express solidarity with them tractor rally would be taken out in Puducherry and Karaikal regions they said.
They said that in Puducherry the rally will start from AFT maidan at 1400 hrs on January 26 and after passing through the main thoroughfares of the town will reach the beach road. The rally in Karaikal will commence from Nandalaru. They exhorted all Democratic and Social organisations and traders to take part and support the farmers' cause.
