Hyderabad, May 5 (UNI) World’s largest Haleem maker of Hyderabad, the Pista House on Sunday announced that its nutritional and health value of Haleem will now be enriched with the use of Manipur’s Black rice, by making it available to the common man.
With the latest improvisation, Haleem will now be enriched with Chakhao, the famous Black Rice from Manipur, which was once only reserved for the Chinese Royal family.
The famous Haleem will be available for feast from the first sighting of the crescent moon that marks the beginning of Ramadan and it will be available not just in Hyderabad, but across India and several countries in the Gulf and parts of Europe, Pista House Managing Director M. A. Majeed said at a press conference here.
In Telangana, Pista House Haleem will be available through 200 outlets. The world’s largest Haleem maker has expanded its operations with Pista House outlets in Kuwait, Qatar and Paris throughout the month of Ramadan, he said.
It will also be available in Bengaluru and Chennai, Mr Majeed said.
At the International frontier, Pista House, which was founded in the vicinity of the historical Charminar in Hyderabad, has remarkably expanded not just across India but also at the global level.
Pista House has set up its franchises and outlets for Haleem across various cities in United States including California, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Virginia, New York, Free Mount City and Saint Romain in France through its partner franchises since 2017.
In Saudi Arabia, Pista House Haleem will be available at Charminar Hotel in Aziziya locality of the Holy city of Makkah, Besides Kuwait and Qatar.
Pista House Haleem will also be available in Dubai and Salala, Sultanate of Oman throughout the month of Ramadan, Mr Majeed said.
The Haleem will also be available at domestic and international terminals at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport near Shamshabad near here and at International terminals in Mumbai and Bangalore Airports.
It will also be available for sale on select Metro Rail stations of Hyderabad, Mr Majeed said.
Pista House Haleem is a scrumptious concoction of whole wheat and finely pounded lamb meat or choice of vegetarian, meticulously cooked for over 12 hours, dribbled in pure and aromatic spices and garnished with a layering of pure ghee, dry fruits, coriander leaves and crispy fried onions.
Besides being remarkably healthy to eat, its genuine taste is usually attributed to prolonged cooking of the ingredients blended with pure spices in large containers enclosed in a Bhatti (Kiln).
According to Mr Bhanu Pratap Singh, CEO of North East Foundation, which has partnered with Pista House, “Black Rice is extremely rich in antioxidants, fiber, iron,vitamin E and has anti-carcinogenic characteristics. Regular consumers will benefit from its health boosters and higher nutritional value.
Interacting with the media, Pista House Directors Abdul Mohsi and Abdul Mohaddis said, both Dine-in and Take-away options are available for Haleem through Pista House restaurants throughout Ramadan with the added convenience of online ordering and domestic delivery through food delivery app Swiggy.
Gati Courier will ferry Haleem to most other states of India, they said.
The Haleem in vegetarian and Non-vegetarain will be available at all the outlets and it will be available in different quantities with the single plate Haleem weighting 350 grams ( Rs 170), a family pack (Rs. 690, and jumbo packs of 5kg and 10kg.
