Excise policy gets green signal

Bhopal, Jan 16 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government today approved the overall excise policy for 2017-18.
The related Cabinet meeting was held under Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s chairmanship. Liquor shops located within a distance of five km from the Narmada’s banks will be closed. In the current year, no new liquor outlet shall be opened. The policy has been divided into three parts – liquor control, revenue collection and ease of doing business, an official release said.

Kolkata, Apr 19 (UNI) An estimated 50.96 percent of the 5.6 million electorates exercised their franchise till 1 PM in the three Lok Sabha constituencies of West Bengal with Cooch Behar, Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri recording 50.69 percent, 51.50 percent and 50.65 percent respectively.
