Excavators production to be doubled :Yutaka Goto

Hyderabad, Apr 21 (UNI) The Excavators production would be doubled over next two-and-half years period, Kobelco Construction Equipment India (KCEI) Private Limited Managing Director and CEO Yutaka Goto said.
Talking to newsmen after launching the Generation 10 model SK220XD/SK220DLC in the 20-24 tons segment here today, Mr Yutaka along with Advisor (India &South Asia) Vikram Sharma said that the company’s present production was about 2000 units, (160 units per month) with the existing facilities After expansion, it would be increased to 20 per cent over the next six months and later it would be doubled over a period of two and half years period.
They said that the company revenue was about Rs 1000 crore during 2016-17 and was expecting 20-25 per cent growth during 2017-18.
The high end excavators concerned KCEI was number one in India and has 27 per cent market share. In overall including Mini, middle and high end excavators, KICEI has 10 per cent market share, they said.
They said that the Indian construction industry market size was USD 3.5 billion with the growth rate of 39 per cent.
Mr Yutaka said that Kobelco has launched its Excavators in India here along with Automotive Manufacturers Private Limited (AMPL) in 2007. After completing successful 10 years in India, Kobelco was now launching its Generation 10 model, again here with strong message “Power meets efficienty”. “ The SK220XD/SK220XDLC meets the needs of most punishing mining sites and come with a wide range of excellent value additions to make it a more obvious choice for the discerning customer”. he said.
AMPL Executive Director Rajiv Sanghavi said “Combination of network, rich quality product like Kobelco and coupled with value proposition by offering customized solutions to our customers has helped us to create a machine park of 900 plus in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana”.
