Ex MLA, former UP DGP join BJP

Lucknow, Jan 23 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh BJP received a shot in its arm when several senior bureaucrats and leaders from other political outfit joined the party in presence of state BJP president Dr Mahendra Nath Pandey here on Wednesday.
The prominent among them are BSP leader and three time MLA from Agra Chote Lal Verma, former DGP of UP Dr Surya Kumar Shukla (Rae Bareli) and RLD state Secretary Dr Yatendra Kumar Saini along with others.
While welcoming the new entrants in the party, state BJP president Dr Pandey said Central and Uttar Pradesh governments were pursuing development works at faster pace.

Lucknow, Apr 20 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government is set to hold 'Road Safety Fortnight' in the state UP between April 22 to May 4 as in line with the directives of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Transport Department will organise the campaign as part of its efforts to reduce road accidents by 50 percent.
