Ex-MLA booked for raping, threatening woman

Nagpur, Jul 28(UNI) Former Congress MLA of Chimur Assembly constituency has been booked for allegedly raping a woman at gunpoint in Bhandara district of Maharashtra, police said here today.
According to the complainant, Warjurkar raped her at gunpoint on November 8 at a hotel in Bhandara where she had gone with a family friend.
The woman claims that she had narrated the incident to her husband who chose not to lodge a police complaint fearing backlash from society.
