Ghaziabad, Oct 17 (UNI) In connection with the murder of the Bharatiya Janata Party leader in Ghaziabad, the absconding former MLA Amarpal Sharma on Tuesday surrendered in the district court here. The former legislator has been sent for a 14 day judicial custody by the court on Tuesday following his surrender. The police had made two arrests in the murder of BJP leader Gajender Bhati, who was shot dead on August 30 and the basis of the statement given by the two people, the police was on the look out for Sharma who was absconding since then. The police had earlier announced a cash reward of Rs 25000 on Sharma who had filed a petition with the Allahabad High Court that got rejected. Sharma is said to have filed his plea with the court twice for surrender, however refrained from it. UNI APS SHK 2000
