Ex-Minister, BJP workers detained in Nagpur

Nagpur, Jan 18 (UNI) Former Maharashtra Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and several BJP leaders were detained by the police here on Tuesday after they refused to budge from a police station unless a Congress leader was arrested for making remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The detainees staged a sit-in in front of the Koradi Police Station demanding a case against Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole. They threatened that their protest won’t end unless they get a copy of the FIR against Patole.
The police said the video of Patole making the controversial statement was being studied by the Cyber Cell. A decision on registering a FIR will be taken based on the report, the police added.
