Ex-Min Sandeep Kumar booked on charges of rape, surrenders

New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) Former Delhi Minister Sandeep Kumar, who was sacked as Social Welfare Minister and suspended from the Aam Aadmi Party, following surfacing of a controversial CD featuring him with two women, was today booked under rape charge and surrendered before the police.
The police registered a case at Sultanpuri Police Station, based on the complaint given by one of the two women seen in the video, against the AAP MLA, alleging that she was sedated and sexually exploited by him.
The suspended AAP leader arrived at the DCP's office in Rohini, minutes after the complaint was lodged and surrendered before the police. The woman was also taken for a medical examination for investigation.
