Kathmandu, Oct 22 (UNI) Former King Gyanendra Shah has said that he was ready to take the leadership and responsibility of the country. Talking to media briefly after receiving Bhai Tika on Saturday, the deposed King remarked that the country appeared as if there was no leadership. He said that it was natural for him to get worried about the current situation of the country as a responsible citizen. “It appears like our country does not have a proper leadership. That’s why I think the time has come to assume the responsibility of country’s leadership. But there should be support from all sect of the society,” said Gyanendra. “While saying this, questions may arise if the former King is trying to become active in country’s politics. But this is not about getting active or not. I believe the situation has demanded my leadership,” said the ex-King, according to a report in The Kathmandu Post here. UNi XC-SNU 0758
