Ex-JDU MLA Chhotubhai Vasava retains Jhagadia seat

Gandhinagar, Dec 18 (UNI) Bharatiya Tribal Party chief Chhotubhai Vasava, who walked out of the Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) after the latter joined hands with the BJP, retained Jhagadia Assembly seat.



He won the seat by a margin of 48,948 votes. His rival BJP’s candidate Ravjibhai Vasava secured 64,906 votes while the former received 1,13,854 votes.



There were three candidates in the fray. The JD(U) had fielded the candidate with the same name and surname on this seat.



Other Chhotubhai Vasava got 5,055 votes while 5,364 people preferred NOTA option instead of these candidates.
