Bengaluru, Oct 22 (UNI) Former Congress Rajya Sabha member from Karnataka, K C Ramamurthy joined BJP here on Tuesday in New Delhi.
The 67-year-old joined the saffron party, in the presence of BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh and Parliamentary Affairs and Coal Minister Prahlad Joshi, at the BJP national headquarters, a statement said here.
Last week, Mr Ramamurthy had quit his Rajya Sabha membership and also resigned from the primary membership of Congress. The former IPS was elected to the Rajya Sabha on July 1, 2016 and has term till 30 June, 2022.
