New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) In a jibe on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming event in US, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday said events organised abroad will not help get investors.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Ms Vadra said,'Chanting 5 trillion every day or managing media headlines will not improve the Indian economy. Events organised abroad will not help get investors. Investor confidence has taken a hit, but the government does not want to accept the reality. This slowdown is a speed-breaker in the country's path to becoming an economic superpower."
Mr Modi is set to address over 50,000 Indian-Americans at the 'Howdy Modi: Shared Dreams, Bright Futures' event in Houston on September 22.
