Europe apprehensive over its own air defence shortages amid supply of more Patriots to Ukraine

Brussels, Aug 4 (UNI) The European Union has suddenly found itself fretting over its own inadequacies in air defence, after their delivery of Patriot batteries has left their own stores heavily depleted.
As per Caliber, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has long called for the delivery of more Patriots as Russian air attacks grow more persistent and penetrate Kyiv’s air space further.

Iran says draft US agreement does not require surrendering control of Strait of Hormuz

Tehran, Jun 12 (UNI) Iran's state news agency has rejected suggestions that the proposed US-Iran MOU would require Tehran to relinquish control over the Strait of Hormuz, with the nation's official IRNA news agency reporting that the current draft text contains no provision which require the Islamic Republic to either hand over management of the strategic waterway, or restore shipping to pre-war levels.
