Establishment of 'Rule of Law' is top priority for state govt: Murmu

Ranchi, Jan 26 (UNI) Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu said that establishment of the rule of law in the state is top priority for the state government.
Addressing the people after hoisting the national flag at the historic Morhabadi Grounds on the occasion of the nation's 71st Republic Day she said that that the today was to re-take the pledge which was taken by the founders of the constitution.
She said that Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar had said that political democracy should be made social democracy. She said that social democracy is a way of life which accepts independence, equality and co-existence and without any discrimination, the tribals, Dalits, poor, backwards and minorities and their families should get access to development.
Outlining the roadmap of the new government she said that the development in the state will be based on the holistic approach, justice and economic progress. She said that to being Jharkhand stands among the developed states all the people and sections needed to work together and they should play their respective roles keeping in priority the interest of the state and the nation.
She said that India was a young country as 65 per cent population was young and even Jharkhand since the time of its creation and based on its population is a young state.
The governor said that unemployment is a big issue before the youth and to tackle this the government will soon fill up the vacant posts at panchayat, block, district and state level and even through skill development self-employment will be generated for them.
The Governor said that women power is the axis of rural empowerment of the state and the government will link more and more women with self-help groups and by enhancing their skills they would be linked with jobs.
She said that apart self-empowerment the honour of the women and protecting their social rights will also be a priority for the state government.
Mr Murmu said that as per the population of the tribals and their aspirations the state government will prepare the tribal sub-plan and will take steps to bring prosperity in their lives. She said that the self-governance tradition of the tribals will be further strengthened.
She said that the CNT and SPT Acts will be strictly implemented in the state and forest rights will be made as per the interest of the tribals.
