Establishment of electric loco-shed will generate job opportunities and help allied industries: Sinha

Varanasi, Jun 23 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha on Saturday said establishment of new eco-friendly AC electrical loco-shed here in Saidpur Bhitari will help allied industries to grow and generate more job opportunities.
Addressing the gathering at Saidpur Bhitari railway station after inaugurating AC electrical loco-shed, Mr Sinha said that electrification of main rail line of Northeast railway was completed. In whole northeast region trains will move with electric energy soon. In same reference AC electrical loco-shed was established in the area with the cost of Rs 96.46 crore.
Mr Sinha said AC electrical locoshed unit will have capacity of 100 loco but it can be expanded as per requirement in future. “Rail Development Corporation”, venture of Railway ministry will execute the construction of the loco-shed. Layout plans for the work was approved and tenders for the same were invited, he pointed out.
