Established by restauranteur Sanjeev Nanda, Miss Tess Dubai is a place where guests go for the food but stay for the fun

Dubai, Oct 18, 2020 (UNI/Digital swagger): Fine dining surrounded by a frenetic energy – that’s probably the best way the vibe at Miss Tess can be described. Located inside the uber luxe Taj Dubai, the restaurant was started three years ago by Sanjeev Nanda, one of the most prominent names in the hospitality sector. The place does stand out when it comes to East Asian cuisine, but there are several other factors that make Miss Tess truly iconic:

Noise that you’ll love

A serene ambience with delectable food is what fine dining is equivalent to for most people. So, when eateries use the enforced EDM beats in their attempt to make the ambience “cool", they actually end up doing the opposite. However, such is not the case at Miss Tess by Sanjeev Nanda. Be it the endless sound of birthday celebrations or the groovy music spun around by the DJ, everything adds to the vibe of the place, making it stand apart. The music is super vibrant, and the ambience even more so. Add to it some live performances by some super talented artists, and you’ll get an evening to cherish forever.

The dining room dancers that’ll leave you awestruck

Probably the best part about dining at Miss Tess is the dining room dancers. Tirelessly entertaining the guests with some guffaw-inducing cheesy performances – performances by these awesome artists are something you don’t get to see everywhere. On the “Asian Invasion" evenings, there are Geisha-like performers and back-flipping Muay Thai fighters who sync their performances to the music of Far Eastern soundtracks. It is only after you get over the tuk-tuk with the neon lights and the performers dressed as the Blues Brothers or as Fifties rockers lip-syncing to ABBA songs that you’ll be able to focus on the real deal – the food!

The Asian delicacies, of course

When Sanjeev Nanda's Miss Test first opened its doors in Taj Dubai three years ago, it was inspired by the Asian street food scene. It is a relief to see the place sticking to the original theme and serving mouth-watering Thai, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese delicacies. The Korean BBQ is to die for. The spicy Thai soups and noodles are also worthy of appreciation. If you are visiting the place for the first time, you can simply ask the members of staff to bring whatever they think the chef does best. Trust us on this, you will not be disappointed!

The postponed birthday freebie meals

One of the sweetest gestures we’ve ever seen from an eatery. Post the self-isolation days due to Covid-19, Miss Tess announced meals on the house if someone missed their birthday celebrations due to the disease outbreak. All one needed to do was call up and make a booking stating it’s their birthday, and show their ID to back up their claim. A heart-warming and truly iconic gesture, isn’t it?
