Eradication of drugs: AAP, Punjab pins hopes on STF chief during his 2nd innings

Chandigarh, Jul 20 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Punjab, while expressing deep anguish over the unabated deaths of youths due to drug overdose, has pinned hopes on the Special Task Force (STF) chief Harpreet Singh Sidhu in his second innings, stating that he and his team would prove their mettle by taming the rampant smuggling of drugs in the state.

In a statement issued from party headquarters on Saturday, Punjab Kisan Wing chief and MLA Kultar Singh Sandhwan and chief spokesperson of the party, Prof Baljinder Kuar stated that the rising number of youths afflicted with HIV virus in the state and the deaths due to drug overdose were a matter of grave concern.
