EOW Kashmir raids DCMO Shopian's office, residence in DOB manipulation case

Srinagar, June 13 (UNI) The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Crime Branch Kashmir on Saturday conducted searches at the office and residence of the Deputy Chief Medical Officer (DCMO), Shopian, in connection with an alleged date-of-birth manipulation case aimed at securing undue service benefits, officials said.
The searches were conducted in the twin districts of Shopian and Pulwama in south Kashmir in connection with an FIR registered under relevant sections of law.
"The searches were part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged fraudulent insertion and manipulation of date-of-birth entries in service records to secure undue benefits," the EoW statements said
During the operation, documents and other materials linked to the case were examined.
EoW said searches were carried out at the office of the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Shopian, and his residence at Thamuna, Pulwama, in accordance with due procedures and in the presence of independent witnesses.

Fourth accused held in ₹12 3 Lakh 'Dunki Route' US immigration fraud case

Panchkula, Jul 10 (UNI) Panchkula Police has arrested the fourth and main accused in a ₹12.30 lakh immigration fraud case in which a Panchkula resident was allegedly duped on the promise of being sent legally to the United States but was instead routed through multiple countries via the so-called "Dunki Route."
The accused, identified as Azad Singh of Panipat, was arrested at Amritsar Airport after being detained on the basis of a Look-Out Circular (LOC) while allegedly attempting to leave for Malaysia.
