Anthropological Film Festival concludes in Jerusalem

Jerusalem, Feb 16 (UNI) The 12th Jerusalem Anthropological Film Festival concluded at the Jerusalem Cinematheque.
The Film Festival concluded on Thursday at the Jerusalem Cinematheque.
The three-day event, which was jointly organized by the Jerusalem Cinematheque and the Department of Sociology and Anthropology of the Hebrew University, screened 15 selected films from nine countries, including the Chinese film "Into the Shaolin," which was chosen as the opening film.
"Into the Shaolin" was the most suitable film to kick off the festival because its beautiful view and story made it easy for the film to communicate with the audience, said Tamar El-Or, the artistic director of the film festival, on Tuesday.
Chinese Ambassador to Israel Cai Run said that the cultural exchanges between China and Israel during the film festival were very important.
When conditions permit, the Chinses embassy will make further efforts to promote cultural exchanges between the two countries, he added.
The film festival, originally scheduled to be held in November 2023, was postponed due to the October outbreak of a conflict between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) which ruled the Palestinian coastal enclave of the Gaza Strip.
