Ali Abbas Zafar to helm the modern version of 1987 epic 'Mr India'

New Delhi, Feb 17 (UNI) Renowned filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar will don the hat of Director for the modern version of the 1987 epic Bollywood blockbuster 'Mr India,' trade sources confirmed on Monday.
The versatile Director, who has earlier given superhits like 'Sultan' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai,' will write and direct the film, to be produced by Zee Studios.
The makers of the project, however, clarified that the film will not be a sequel or a remake of the 1987 classic.
Instead, it will be a modern version of the original that starred Sridevi and Anil Kapoor.

Zafar is currently working on the script and building the superhero universe. The casting of the film will begin after work on the script is completed, the sources added
They said the production work on the film will begin next year. The studio is planning the film as one of the biggest spectacles of India.
