Empowering Maratha Youth: Maharashtra Govt Extends OBC-Category Educational Benefits to Maratha Students

Mumbai, June 5 (UNI) In a landmark move aimed at bolstering the socio-economic and educational status of the Maratha community, Maharashtra government on Friday announced a series of comprehensive policy reforms including extension of concessions so far restricted to OBC category.
Bowing to demands, the government has extended the educational concessions and facilities currently available to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category to students from the Maratha community, ensuring equitable access to higher and professional education.
To facilitate this integration into the mainstream education system, the state has launched eight special schemes designed to provide significant financial relief to thousands of deserving Maratha students across the state.
