Eleven Test Pilots & four Flight Test Engineers join the Elite Club of 296 Test Pilots and 136 Flight Test Engineers

Bengaluru, May 24 (UNI) Eleven Test Pilots and Four Flight Test Engineers today joined the elite club of 296 test Pilots and 136 Flight Test Engineers across the country here on Friday.
The 41 Flight Test Course graduation day of the Air Force Test Pilots School (AFTPS) was held here on Friday after 48 weeks of rigorous and mjlti-discipline training.
The AFTPS is the part of the Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE), one of the premier units of Indian Air Force (IAF), according to a press release here on Friday.A
Air Marshal R K S Bhadauria, Vice Chief of the Air Staff, who was the Chief guest, presented certificates to the graduating officers, Speaking on the occasion he highlighted that the graduates needed to maintain congruity and be aligned to service interests while relentlessly striving for precision and excellence in all facets of activities.
He emphasised that they need to be committed to ensure that the systems cleared for induction meet the operational requirements and are inducted in the shortest time possible with optimum utilization of resources. He advised the budding test crew to always aim for effective and comprehensive flight testing with utmost safety and through continuous knowledge enhancement and innovation.
The prestigious 'Suranjan Das Trophy' for the best all-round student test pilot was awarded to Squadron Leader Kanav Bhartendu while the 'Chief of Air Staff Trophy for the best student test pilot in Flight Evaluation was awarded to Squadron Leader RC Jacob .The Maharaja Hanumanth Singhji Sword for the best all-round student flight test engineer was awarded to Lieutenant Commander U Anudeep Kumar, while the 'Dunlop Trophy' for the best student Flight Test Engineer in Flight Evaluation was awarded to Squadron Leader Barani Dharan M.The 'Kapil Bhargava Trophy' for the best student in ground subjects was awarded to Squadron Leader Rohan Atre.
