Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Mar 26 2017 5:58PM Elephant census to be taken up in Odisha from May 8Balasore, Mar 26 (UNI) An elephant census to enumerate the number of jumbos using both direct sighting and indirect method will be undertaken across Odisha between May 8 and 12 next. For the first time, the indirect method would be used in the census by sighting the dung and decay of the pachyderms, according to Divisional Forest Officer, Ananadapur wildlife division Ajit Satpathy. He said training on the census will be given in different phases right from the state level to division and circle level.
