Electoral Officer requests political parties to submit their manifestos

Hyderabad, Nov 9 (UNI) State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Rajat Kumar on Friday evening requested all the political parties to submit the Manifestos in three sets within three days after its release as per the guidelines of ECI.
Rajat, who held a meeting with the representative of 10 political parties, said asked them to submit a declaration in the form of Affidavit on the Manifestos as per the Para 8 of MCC duly signed by the President or General Secretary.
The Parties concerned have to submit ‘Form A & B’ with signatures in ink to all the Returning officers in respect of constituencies where their candidates are contesting and Form A to the CEO in ink signed, he said.
CEO informed that the Gazette notification for elections will be issued on November 12 and the Last date for Nominations - November 19 and Scrutiny of Nominations - November 20.
Last Date for withdrawal is November 22 and the polling will be held –December 7 while the counting will be held on December 11.
Political Parties have brought to the notice of CEO that in urban areas, BLOs are not distributing Voters’ slips properly and the voters are facing lot of problems in identifying their Polling stations and their locations and requested to ensure proper distribution
CEO requested to furnish the list of the star-campaigners within seven days from the date of notification.
Political parties are requested for installation of CCTVs for surveillance in and outside of the sensitive Polling stations.
Lastly, CEO requested all the representatives of Political parties to cooperate in conducting elections in free, fair and peaceful manner.
