Election defeat to LDF: Kerala BJP demands CM's resignation

Thiruvananthapuram, May 24 (UNI) Kerala BJP President PS Sreedharan Pillai on Friday demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for the humiliating defeat of CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) in the State.
Talking to newspersons here, the BJP President said the voting pattern in the Parliament election shows that the ruling LDF lost the majority in 75 Assembly constituencies.
The two MLAs, who contested the Parliament elections are far behind in their respective Assembly seats, should also resign, he demanded.
Pointing out that the CPI(M) was defeated in 19 of 20 Lok Sabha seats, he said though the BJP did not open the account, the party could increase its vote share this time compared to the previous polls.
