Elderly couple cured of COVID-19, says Kerala CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 3 (UNI) In a tremendous achievement, an elderly couple who had multiple issues and in serious condition has been discharged from the hospital after being cured of COVID-19, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi said on Friday.
Addressing a press conference at the Government Secretariat, the Chief Minister said the elderly couple, Thomas (93) and Mariyamma (88) from Ranni in Pathanamthitta district, who had contracted the novel Coronavirus from their son recently travelled to Italy, has been cured fully and discharged from Kottayam Medical College Hospital.
“We see this as an achievement and a testimony to our healthcare system. I would like to place on record our appreciation for all the health workers involved in their treatment and care”, he added.
