New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) Communist Party of India (CPI) General Secretary D Raja on Saturday wrote to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, asking him to provide adequate protection to former JNU student's union president and party's National Executive member Kanhaiya Kumar and his Jan-Gan-Man yatra.
On Friday, Mr Kumar's convoy was attacked in Bihar's Arrah area as he is currently undertaking the 'Jan-Gan-Man Yatra' across the state against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR).
Mr Kumar's supporters alleged that yesterday's stone pelting incident was the eighth attack on his convoy, as earlier the CPI leader's convoy was attacked in Jamui, Supaul, Katihar and other areas in Bihar.
