Panaji, Nov 23 (UNI) The audiences at 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2018, which is underway in the city, enjoyed the golden opportunity of learning from eight-time National award winning ace film editor Sreekar Prasad at a Masterclass titled, ‘A "Cut" above the Rest’ on Thursday.
The veteran, who has a command over the pace of the story and tastefully edits, thereby designing the flow of the story. Mr Prasad admitted that he steers clear of following a typical editing pattern.
While speaking to the audience, Mr Prasad said, “It is imperative to get the narrative right and for that, it helps a great deal if the editor reads the script. Contrary to the practice a few decades ago, I now find myself involved right from the early stages of the production of a film.”
Masterclasses are one of the popular programmes held as part of the film festival and attract good number of audiences because of it being conducted by the celebrities and maestros of entertainment field.
