Eight people missing in ship collision off China's Hainan island found dead

Beijing, April 10 (UNI) All eight people missing as a result of a collision between a Chinese fishing vessel and a Panamanian container ship off China's Hainan Island have been found dead, Chinese media reported on Wednesday.

On April 3, at about 00:15 a.m. (16:15 GMT), Panama-flagged container ship SITC DANANG collided with Chinese fishing boat Yuenan Aoyu 36062 at a distance of 22 nautical miles off the town of Yinggehai on Hainan's southwestern coast. The fishing boat sank as a result, leaving its crew of eight people missing.
