Efforts will be made to include Sepak Takraw in defence games: Shripad Naik

Margao, Apr 1 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Defence and AYUSH (independent charge) Shripad Naik has said that all efforts will be made to include Sepak Takraw sports game in the games played by Defence Ministry and also in the list of sports reservation quota for recruitment.
He was speaking at the closing and prize distribution ceremony of 23rd Sub Junior and 24th Junior National Sepak Takraw Championship organized by Goa Sepak Takraw Association and Sports Authority of Goa at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru outdoor ground, Fatorda.
Mr Naik said, ''Sports play a very important role in human life to be fit and healthy. A Sport is a mantra to make life happy and peaceful. Youth should try their best in any sports and make a career of it. Yoga is also included in sports and now yoga master will also be called as sports person.''
