Efforts are being made to enhance the quality of education: AP Minister

Kakinada June 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education Ganta Srinivasarao said that every effort was being made to enhance the quality of education and standards in Government institutions on par with corporate institutions.
Addressing the inaugural function of new degree college at Perumallapuram village in Thondangi mandal 60 kms from here today, he said many incentives like midday meal, free uniform, free books and extracurricular activities are extended to the students of Government schools for promoting education among the children.
Stressing the need for Government schools competing with the private institutions in improving educational standards, he said, for the first time in the state more budget was given to education by allocating Rs.23,000 Crores during current year.
