Lucknow, Nov 21(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that in view of the second wave of Covid-19 in neighboring states especially Delhi, there should be complete vigilance in UP and the effective system of prevention and treatment of corona should be maintained.
The CM, who was presiding over an unlock review meeting at his official residence on Saturday, said that people should continuously be made aware about Covid-19 and the public address system being used in this task should be further activated.
Public address systems of the home, rural development, urban development, revenue, health and industrial development departments should be used to make people aware of Covid-19. To ensure that people regularly use mask, the District Magistrate, Senior Superintendent of Police and the Chief Medical Officer of all the districts should hold a meeting with various organisations and NGOs. The CM also directed to take enforcement action against those who did not wear mask.
The CM also said that medical testing has an important role in breaking the chain of Covid-19 and keeping this in mind, it should be carried on with full capacity. It should also be ensured that one third of the tests are done with the RT-PCR and the remaining two third tests are rapid antigen tests.
Emphasising to further strengthen contact tracing and surveillance system, the CM said that the effective contact tracing of people coming from other states should be done. Screening should be conducted on railway stations and airports and the ambulance services should be operated actively.
The CM has also instructed the District Magistrates and Chief Medical Officers to conduct review meeting in the Covid-19 hospital in the morning and at the Integrated Command and Control Centre in the morning. Sanjivani app should be widely published so that more and more people can get the benefit of the online OPD service through it.
Directing the Chief Secretary to review the department wise budget allocation and the amount spent against it, the CM said that he will himself review the expenditure status of the departmental budgets.
The CM also instructed for a regular review of the paddy purchase centres and said that there should be no inconvenience to the farmers in selling their produce.
