Educational achievement survey conducted across Mizoram schools

Aizawl, Dec 4 (UNI) The Ministry of Education-sponsored PARAKH Rashtriya Sarvekshan (PRS) 2024, a large-scale educational achievement survey formerly known as the National Achievement Survey, was conducted on Wednesday in 1,058 selected schools across Mizoram, targeting students of Classes 3, 6, and 9.
School Education Minister Dr Vanlalthlana underscored the survey's significance during visits to schools in Aizawl, including Govt. EM Primary School, Ramhlun Sports Complex, and Govt. Primary School, Ramhlun Vengthar. Accompanied by SCERT Director Caroline Zoramthangi, School Education Director Angela Zothanpuii, and Aizawl DEO R Lalbiakzauva, he reviewed school operations and discussed challenges with headmasters and teachers.
The PRS 2024 aims to assess students’ proficiency levels as outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Evaluating foundational, preparatory, and middle learning stages, the survey measured competencies in Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and The World Around Us. Organised by PARAKH and NCERT in collaboration with state SCERTs, the survey was conducted under CBSE’s purview.
