Education minister orders opening school buildings for sheltering migrant labourers

Chandigarh, Mar 30 (UNI) Punjab education minister Vijay Inder Singla on Monday directed the education department officials to open school buildings to provide shelter for the migrant labourers who have been left stranded due to the 21-day lockdown.
Singla added that the education secretary has been asked to convey these directions to all district education officers so that arrangements are made as soon as possible.
The Cabinet Minister added that local district administration would provide the migrant labourers food and other arrangements during the duration of their stay.
