ED raids eight locations linked to drug mafia in Dongri

Mumbai, Oct 8 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at eight locations in the Dongri area early this morning in connection with individuals linked to the drug mafia.
The operation was launched on suspicion that proceeds from drug trafficking were being used for illegal moneylending and other unlawful financial activities.
The raids targeted premises connected to Faisal Shaikh and Alfiya Shaikh, both accused of drug trafficking.

Maha: Farmer mauled to death by tiger in Chandrapur

Chandrapur, Nov 6 (UNI) A farmer was killed by a tiger on Thursday while picking cotton in a field near Amboli Road in Chimur tehsil of Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Eeshwar Bharde, a local resident.
According to the officials, tiger sightings had been frequent in the area over the past few days. However, the animal attacked Bharde while he was working in the field, killing him on the spot.
